Used Driver Value Guide: 56 Drivers Rated

In short: we rated 56 older drivers, from the 1998 Titleist 975D to the 2023 models, as used buys. 20 are strong used buys. We don't print prices because used prices change every week. Each model has a link to its eBay sold listings so you can see what it actually sells for today.
How the verdicts work. Each verdict comes from the model's full review on this site. It weighs the release year, head size (460cc is the legal maximum and the most forgiving shape), whether the hosel is adjustable, and whether shafts and parts are still easy to find. Newer, adjustable 460cc heads score best. We did not hit these clubs for this guide.

How to check a used driver

  1. Look at the crown and face for dents or cracks. A crack anywhere on the face means no deal.
  2. Shake the head: a rattle may be loose glue or a broken weight.
  3. Check that the shaft is the one listed, and that it is the flex you need.
  4. For an adjustable driver, make sure the wrench-fit adapter comes with it.
  5. Check sold listings, not asking prices, before you offer.
